PCGS encapsulated more than 200 Privy Mark 230th Anniversary Flowing Hair High Relief Gold Coins that are being auctioned by Stack’s Bowers Galleries.

(Santa Ana, California) – Professional Coin Grading Service (PCGS) was chosen by Stack’s Bowers Galleries to encapsulate a run of more than 200 Privy Mark 230th Anniversary Flowing Hair High Relief Gold Coins. These stunning gold coins showcase a special “230” privy mark on the obverse, which features a famous Flowing Hair design that first appeared on the U.S. silver dollar in 1794. The coins contain one ounce of .9999-fine gold and were struck by the United States Mint, which chose Stack’s Bowers Galleries as the exclusive third-party auctioneer of all 230 gold coins.

In addition to each coin being encapsulated by PCGS, the 24-karat gold coins will be accompanied by a special United States Mint certificate of authenticity hand signed by Mint Director Ventris C. Gibson. Stack’s Bowers Galleries will also waive the buyer’s premium on these gold coins. Therefore, the highest bid on each lot will be the final amount paid by the winning bidder, less shipping fees.
